Terms of Use

Last updated September 13, 2026

These terms cover your use of Lemmaris. By using the site, as a guest or with a profile, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Lemmaris.

What Lemmaris is

Lemmaris is an independent study tool for engineering courses. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by The University of Texas at Austin or any other school. Course numbers are used only to say which material a lesson covers.

Your profile

• Give an email address you control, so you can confirm it and reset your password.
• Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your profile.
• A profile is for one person.
• You can delete your profile at any time from Settings.

Using it fairly

Please do not:

• try to get into other people's profiles or into parts of the service you are not meant to reach;
• overload, scrape or disrupt the service, or get around its rate limits;
• use Chip to produce content that is unlawful, hateful or harassing;
• copy and republish the lessons as your own.

Learning, not grading

Lemmaris is for practice and understanding. Follow your course's academic integrity rules: if an assignment or exam does not allow outside help, do not use Lemmaris for it.

We work hard to make answers right: they are computed by a solver and checked against course materials. Mistakes can still happen, in the lessons and in what the AI tutor says. When it matters, check with your instructor and your course's own materials.

Content

The lessons, the Chip character, the Lemmaris name and the site belong to Lemmaris. You may use them for your own learning. Questions you type to Chip remain yours; you let us process them to answer you, as the Privacy Policy describes.

Changes and availability

Lemmaris is new and changes often. Features, including lessons and rewards like gems and streaks, may change or be removed, and the service may sometimes be unavailable. Gems and other rewards have no cash value.

Ending your use

You can stop using Lemmaris and delete your profile whenever you like. We may suspend a profile that breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk.

No warranty

Lemmaris is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, Lemmaris is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from using it, including grades or results that depend on its content.
